She holds an undergraduate degree in law from babcock University where she earned a distinction in a dissertation she wrote titled 'Raising a Legal Framework for the Control of the Adoption of Dogs as Security in Nigeria'. Afterwards, she earned two masters degrees in law. Her second LLM in Animal Law is from the world's first and only advanced degree in animal law- Center for Animal Law Studies, Lewis and Clark Law School, Portland, Oregon. Mo founded a nonprofit, Green Thumb Initiative which is a registered 501(c)(3) in the United States of America aimed at including animal law education in institutions worldwide by developing short and long courses to suit diverse needs. Mo is a fierce litigator and she divides her time between her clients and animals.
Her work mainly focuses on legislation drafting and advocacy for the inclusion of animal law in educational institutions, contributing to scholarly legal research on global animal law and particularly improving the conditions of African zoos through documentaries.
Any bid to advance the rights of animals begins with an understanding of the legal underpinnings that regulate such actions. I am pleased to be a part of the experts that contribute to this.
