Selene is a corporate and commercial lawyer at Vriman M&A Lawyers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Up until she started working fulltime at a commercial law firm, she has always been involved with animal welfare in one way or another by volunteering her time to animal welfare organizations and the Dutch political Party for the Animals. Selene is raised as a vegetarian and has been brought up to care about all living beings, not just humans. She has always been passionate about animal welfare.
Though she currently works fulltime in corporate and commercial law, she still feels that part of her purpose is to contribute to animal welfare legislation. She now fulfills this purpose by contributing her work to GAL, specifically in relation to the UN Convention on Animal Health and Protection (UNCAHP).
