Laura Jane Jackson
Lawyer specialising in human rights and animal welfare
Laura is a lawyer who has acted in precedential human rights cases in the High Court and before the European Court of Human Rights. She is immensely passionate about all areas of animal welfare on a global scale, as well as the relationship between human and animal rights. Laura remains a consultant solicitor with a particular specialism in working on large scale Public Inquiries, but is also a director of Animals in Media, working with the RSPCA to ensure standards of welfare for animals in television and film in the UK. She is a member of the Association of Animal Lawyers UK and an expert for the Humane Research Trust, a charity working to replace animals in medical testing models and research. She has worked with numerous animal welfare charities, academics and experts to draft education pieces and policy recommendations which have gone on to shape legislation.
