Antoine Goetschel - A Lawyer for Animals
For more than 30 years, Swiss lawyer Antoine Goetschel has been active in animal law. As the world's first "animal lawyer," he has represented over 700 animals in court throughout his career, including a chameleon, a pony, and a boa. But what is the current state of animal protection law in Europe, and in which direction is the relationship between society and animals evolving? The animal lawyer gave a lecture at the National Library on possible paths forward, and Joé Birchen spoke with him about it.
