Dr. Antoine F. Goetschel, president of GAL, about the protection of animals in Switzerland (in French)
Animal Welfare is taking up more and more space in the media, reflecting a change in the perception of the situation of animals in our society. Janic Tremblay delivers two reports inaugurating a series that illustrates the relationship between human beings and animals today. The first report reviews recent discoveries about the cognitive abilities of animals, which are often downplayed. The second takes us to Switzerland, where animal welfare is protected by strict, regularly updated rules. GAL President and Founder Antoine F. Goetschel recounts about his unique position as lawyer for animal protection in criminal matters in the Canton of Zurich (2007-2010).
