International declaration on animal welfare
Quick win
Proposal
An international declaration on animal welfare can be based on existing recognition of animal welfare – a priority at the OIE since early 2000. Such a statement can be promoted to consider other recent developments in major international organizations and institutions. Increasing consideration of animal protection and welfare has been observed at the WTO, the ICJ and even the UN (mainly at the FAO)*.
