Song Wei
Professor and director of the Law Institute at the University of Science and Technology
Song Wei is a professor and director of the Law Institute at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He is also vice president of China Science, Technology and Law Association. Dr. Wei was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University in 2003, a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington in 2007 and China-EU visiting professor at Masaryk University in 2011. His primary teaching and research interests are in the areas of Animal Welfare Law, Environment Law and Intellectual Property Law. Dr. Wei published the first Animal Welfare Law paper and the first book on this subject in China and also taught the first Animal Welfare Law class at USTC in 2001.
