Irene Korobko, the Head of the International Animal Law sector of the Ukrainian Association of International Law. Focused her research on International Legal Standards of Animal Welfare. Being the member of Ukrainian Kennel Union (dog-show judge), her special concern is the question of welfare of companion animals. Also she is interested in constitutional law, thus she suggests and has already proposed to include to the Constitution of Ukraine the special article, which would declare animals as the sentient beings and provide them with legal protection.
