I am currently completing my PhD in Animal Law at the Federal University of Paraná. I hold a Master's degree in Animal Law from the Federal University of Bahia and a postgraduate degree in Environment and Society from the São Paulo School of Sociology and Politics Foundation. My master's thesis was published as a book, and I am also the author and co-author of book chapters and scientific papers. I am a Professor of Animal Law in postgraduate courses at the following institutions: Mackenzie University; Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná; Qualittas College; São Paulo Society of Veterinary Medicine; Higher School of Federal Judiciary of Paraná; National Association of Small Animal Veterinary Clinicians of São Paulo; and Higher School of Integral Ecology, Justice and Social Peace. I am a practicing lawyer and consultant in Animal Law, sponsoring numerous lawsuits and advocating before the Legislative Branch. I am Legal Consultant for The Donkey Sanctuary, the largest donkey protection organization in the world, Legal Director of the Network for Mobilization for the Animal Cause, a Brazilian organisation, and co-founder of the National Confederation of Animal Rights Defense Entities.
