Iyan Offor
PhD candidate at the University of Strathclyde and Associate Researcher at Eurogroup for Animals
Iyan Offor (LL.M., LL.B.) is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Strathclyde and a member of the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance. Iyan is writing his thesis on global animal law, animal ethics, and international trade law. Iyan is also an Associate Researcher for Eurogroup for Animals. Iyan was recently a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. He will soon undertake a research stay at the Centre for Animal Law Studies at Lewis & Clark Law School.
Iyan has taught on animal law, trade law, environmental law, and jurisprudence at the University of Strathclyde and at Aarhus University. Iyan holds a masters degree (with distinction) from the University of Aberdeen on the chilling effect of the World Trade Organisation on EU animal welfare legislation. He is a student representative of the UK Centre for Animal Law and he publishes on issues of animal law and trade."
